1989 BMW E30 TOURING (E34 TDS CONVERSION)

This red BMW E30 Touring began life as a 318i, but has received an extensive package of modifications to improve its usability as a daily driver. In the vendor’s words: "Basically it looks like a stock E30, but underneath it’s a turbo diesel E34."

The engine is a BMW 525tds diesel engine, with associated gearbox and differential conversion. The odometer reads 105,692 miles, and we are told the car has has only driven about 7500 miles since its conversion. A new battery was recently installed, and the car has an advisory-free MoT to 2nd October 2026. The conversion began in 2019 and continued over the following 5 years, with the following new parts fitted:

• OEM E34 immobiliser which works on the original E34 key
• Glow plug lights hidden in the cigarette ash tray
• Alpine speakers and black vinyl optional extra door cards
• Mtech front fog lights
• Aftermarket radio and dash camera.

The BMW's underside was treated with Lanoguard, and the vendor tells us that the car has "never seen a welder". The sunroof channels were also unblocked and the mechanism serviced. 

The car is accompanied by the V5C in the vendor’s name, plus a pack of owners handbooks and a large collection of MoT certificates. 

The seller has notified us of a few issues with the headlamp height adjusters, hazard switch and a tempermental rear interior light, and the central locking system is currently switched off but can be switched back on with key.
