1981 MERCEDES W460 300 GD G-WAGON 

The Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon (W460) is the long-wheelbase Station Wagon model, with manual transmission and 15,549 miles showing on the odometer. It has a sunroof, and the chequered cloth/brown vinyl interior is in mostly good condition. The five-cylinder engine is believed to be a desirable 3.0-litre diesel, not the 2.3-litre engine shown on the V5C, fitted with a mains electric pre-heater (untested). It comes with various parts & maintenance receipts from the 1990s, and a Haynes manual. The V5C is also present and indicates the last registered owner had the car for 32 years. First registration was on 1st October 1981.

The car does run and drive, but the foot brake is not working (although the handbrake does) and we have had some difficulty closing the back door. It is being offered as a project for recommissioning or restoration.
