1970 LAND ROVER SERIES IIA AIR PORTABLE ‘LIGHTWEIGHT’

This 1970 Land Rover Series 2A ‘Lightweight’ is believed to be one of a batch of 38 identical vehicles supplied to the Royal Navy, most of which issued to the Royal Marines. Originally a FFR (Fitted For Radio) with a canvas roof. Sold off in 1978 and registered for civilian use, it has been modified in the intervening years including the fitting of a removeable hard top, turning it into a Station Wagon and a series 3 dash top.
