1991 TVR V8S

This TVR V8S is a 1991 example of the final evolution of the S-series, and the end of the pre-cat era, finished in its original shade of red with a tan interior. It was recently offered as a competition prize, but the winner chose the cash alternative instead.

The 4.0-litre engine has been bored to 4.2 litres, and is said to produce around 240bhp. The vendor describes the car as running very well, having had "a very quiet and careful life, remaining in single private ownership for 30 years.” MoT tests have been performed annually, without attracting a single MoT in the last 13 years. The current certificate is valid to 13th September 2026, and the odometer shows 52,107 miles.  

Recent work has included outrigger replacement and an engine refresh, with an upgraded Canems ECU, re-cored radiator and cooling system overhaul, plus Gaz Gold coilovers and stainless brake lines. The history file contains a large collection of maintenance receipts, old MoTs, ECU injection system manuals, a photocopy of the current V5C, and spare keys. The car was first registered on 1st August 1991, and there have been 6 keepers from new.

Immobilisers appear to be fitted, but we are advised that they are not working and do not inhibit any electrical circuits.
