This smart Vauxhall 12/6 DY, affectionately known as Clarice, is believed to have stayed with its first owner until 1992, and has had only 2 registered keepers since then. Its last 12 years have been spent stored in a garage, unused, until the vendor rescued the car a few months ago and treated it to a sensitive recommissioning. This has included a refurbished water pump and fan belt, fresh oils and filters, brake overhaul, replacement petrol tank, fuel pump overhaul and the fitment of a stainless steel exhaust.
Around 15-20 years ago the car received a bare-shell restoration, which is carefully documented in an accompanying photo album. This work included a full interior retrim (reportedly by a retired Lotus upholsterer) which still presents very nicely today. The car comes with previous and current V5Cs, original handbook and maintenance manuals, Vauxhall Owner's Club documents, and a meticulous collection of club magazines covering 2010 to 2025.
First registration was on 4th December 1935, and the odometer is showing 31,941 miles.
