1,599cc. This 1971 Ford Escort Mexico Mk1 has been owned by our vendor since 2019. Colour changed from white to red in 2001. Modifications include a 5-speed type 9 gearbox and Gaz shock absorbers. The engine fitted to the car is a 2737E 1.6 Crossflow block, bored +90 to give a capacity of 1700cc. Other engine parts are later 711m. Hepolite Mexico GT Pistons, Piper 3cfg Camshaft, new cam followers, timing chain and water pump have also been fitted. Not one for the purist but great fun indeed!
