1993 LAND ROVER 110 VPK ‘SNATCH’

This genuine ex-MoD Land Rover 110 VPK Snatch, first placed into service on 7th June 1993 and supplied in V8 petrol form. During its time in service, the vehicle was allocated to a number of notable British Army units including:

  • Royal Regiment of Fusiliers
  • Grenadier Guards
  • The Rifles
  • 2nd Battalion, Parachute Regiment (2 PARA)

Of particular note, the vehicle is recorded as serving with Task Force Muthanna (Battle Group 4) during 2004, indicating deployment during Operation TELIC in Iraq.

Following its military service, the vehicle passed through Witham Specialist Vehicles Ltd, the official MoD disposal contractor, in 2010. Now fitted with a 200Tdi turbo diesel engine, offering significantly improved usability and fuel economy over the original V8 configuration.

An increasingly sought-after type, particularly with operational links, this Defender represents an opportunity to acquire a genuine ex-military vehicle with an interesting history. More recently it is believed to have travelled several times to the Ukraine. UK registration is required. Comes only with Merlin online copy archive record
