1972 FORD ESCORT 1300 ESTATE
1300cc, manual. This MkI Ford Escort 1300 estate began life as a florist’s delivery vehicle in Cornwall, remaining with the same lady until she sold it to a museum in 2001. The vendor purchased it shortly after and brought it home to Suffolk, where treated it to a restoration and returned to the road in 2004. Since then it has been garaged and used very sparingly on occasional trips to the beach or classic car shows.
Restoration involved structural repairs including wheel arches, sills and new front wings, followed by a full respray, brake overhaul, and mechanical cleaning and servicing. While the odometer reading of 65,263 miles cannot be guaranteed, it is believed to be accurate. We don’t have any receipts with the car, but we are told its latest service was in October last year.
The paperwork consists of a few MoT certificates from 2004-18, an original owner’s manual, and the V5C which indicates two former keepers.
