1971 JAGUAR D-TYPE RECREATION
Estimate: £30,000 - £35,000
- V5 present
- MoT exempt
- Chassis number: 1G8481BW
- Engine size: 2792cc
This stunning machine is a recreation of the iconic Jaguar D-Type by the Le Mans Sports Car Company, believed to have been built around 1990. Under the glass-fibre bonnet is a Jaguar XK engine, recorded on the V5C as being 2.8-litres, and this is mated to an automatic transmission. The odometer shows only 127 miles.
As a historic vehicle the car is MoT exempt, but it passed a voluntary MoT without advisories in 2023. The vendor reports there are “absolutely no mechanical or electrical issues”.
It comes with a few wiring diagrams and some guidance relating to the original build. The DVLA will need updating, as the V5C still records this as a Jaguar XJ6 Saloon built in 1971.
