2309cc petrol. This Armstong-Siddeley Whitley 18 is a long-wheelbase limousine model with the Wilson pre-select gearbox. Clearly restorative work has taken place, although much original trim has been retained.

The vendor advises that the engine runs but needs tuning, and he believes the carburettor needs a rebuild. “I've not driven the car so I'm not aware of any other faults,” he tells us. "The gauges seem to work, but the time clock does not". The last MoT was passed in 2012.

The car comes with MoT certificates going back to the 1970s, black-and-white photos (when the car was painted black), more recent colour photos of a restoration (undated), a few tax discs (1978-2015), a copy of an original service manual, and the current V5C which indicates 9 former keepers. The odometer displays 6411 miles.
