1973 VW T2 CAMPER LATE BAY

1600cc, manual. This blue and white Volkswagen T2 is a late “bay window” Westfalia with a working pop-up roof, camper interior and split-charge electrics. It has been registered to the vendor since 2014, and a reconditioned engine was fitted in 2015.

It comes with spare keys, and a history file containing a collection of photos (undated) showing a bare-shell restoration during a previous ownership. MoT certificates from 2013 and 2014 are present, plus the V5C and a stack of invoices covering 2011-16, with one showing the engine replacement. The latest MoT was passed with no advisories in 2016 at 35,439 miles, and today the odometer is showing 37,489.  The camper is registered as having a 1700 cc engine, but according to the receipt for the engine replacement, it is in fact 1600cc. Its first registration was in August 1973.

The interior features a non-standard cooker unit, and the original fridge & sink unit is not present. Please note: vendor advises that the offside window louvre is broken.
