1973 SUNBEAM RAPIER

1725cc twin-carb, automatic. This gold Sunbeam Rapier Fastback coupé is sold as a project for restoration, having been parked in a garage for over 30 years. Equipment includes heated rear glass, instrument light switch and the original Kyoto cassette player, and it has been in the vendor's family since 1991. He has owned the car since 2013, and tells us it was last running and driving 15 years ago.

Two new sills are supplied with the car, together with a car cover, V5C showing 5 former keepers, a copy of a previous V5. This history file extends to various old receipts from the 1990s up to 2002, old tax discs, MoT certificates going back to 1986, a record of a professional Waxoyl treatment in 1988, and a collection of materials relating to the Sunbeam Rapier Owners Club.

The odometer is showing 34,554 miles, which appears consistent with the MoT record as far back as 1988, although there is a mileage discrepancy between the 1987-88 certificates. The car was first registered in February 1973.
