3.2-litre six-cylinder, manual. The Chevrolet Series AD was once a common site worldwide, assembled in many American factories and also in Canada, Argentina, Belgium, South Africa and Japan. This Phaeton variant was built in Canada for export to Uruguay in South America and crossed the Atlantic to Germany in 1990. In 2017 it was imported to the UK and the vendor bought it at ACA in 2022. He tells us it's had regular use over the last four years, going out on Sunday drives taking the kids to proms. It survives in running, solid and original condition, albeit with plenty of characterful patina.

The history file contains a few receipts from 2017-22, the latest being for a new coolant pump in 2022. We also have photocopies of its old South American registration papers, the current V5C showing 2 former keepers in the UK, and a 2017 dating letter from the American Automobile Club of Great Britain confirming its heritage. The engine number corresponds to a right-hand drive unit from November 1930, so it is believed to be the original 3.2-litre motor, although the V5C quotes the engine size as 3500cc. The odometer indicates 96,957 miles but has been disconnected for a few years.

The registration number is non-transferable.
