4973cc V8, automatic. This handsome Mercedes-Benz 500SEC (C126) has the durable M117 V8 engine and a beige leather interior equipped with air conditioning, electric seats, cruise control and a sunroof. The vendor has owned the car for 15 years and reports that “everything works except the radio”.
The AMG “monoblock” split rims are reportedly worth £2500, and the cherished registration number £1500. We're also told that around £3500 has just been spent at Prestige Mercedes Wakefield on “valve stem oil seals, gearbox, piston rings, a few electrical bits and a full service, including oil, air and fuel filters”. We don't have an invoice for this work, but the history file does include a couple of older receipts and MoT certificates. It also comes with 3 keys, and the current V5C which shows 6 former keepers.
Next year the car will be exempt from MoT testing requirements, but in the meantime its current MoT is valid to 22nd September 2027. The odometer is showing 175,065 miles.
