1991 FORD ESCORT RS2000

1998cc, manual. This impressive Mk5 Ford Escort RS2000 is a very early example which we believe may have been on the original press fleet. It received a restoration around 4 years ago, including structural repairs and a full respray. The white paintwork is still lovely throughout, the doors close nicely, the grey Recaro seats remain respectable, and the engine bay is particularly smart. The vendor has displayed it at shows, where he says it gets a lot of attention. We're told the car “drives 100% with zero faults, and must be close to being one of the best in the country". It comes with an advisory-free MoT to 27th February 2027, and the odometer is showing 86,060 miles. 

Since he purchased the car in early 2025, it has received a new radiator, front suspension arms, front calipers and 4 new Toyo Proxy tyres. The gearbox input shaft seals have also been recently replaced. Service books and receipts give evidence of 6 services, the latest being a full service carried out just a few weeks ago in August. 

The car was first registered on 1st September 1991 and the vendor notes it has never been written off, imported or re-registered. It is supplied with 3 keys, V5C, a collection of recent MoT certificates (2023-27) and a few receipts from the last few years. The restoration is documented in a hardback book of photographs.
