1996 MAZDA MX-5 MKI MERLOT

1840cc, manual. This Mazda MX-5 Mk1 is a rare Merlot special edition, one of 600 made for the UK market.  featuring Vin Rouge paintwork. Original features include special 15in alloy wheels and colour coded mudflaps and a grey ruched leather interior with a wood-rimmed Nardi steering wheel. This example is supplied with its removable hard-top roof, and has been equipped with a double-DIN infotainment system and the engine bay has also been fitted with a strut brace. The odometer shows 83,904 miles, and the car has an MoT to 1st March 2027. 

It comes with its original handbook pack containing 6 stamps in the service book (up to 74k miles in 2007), supplemented by a nice collection of maintenance invoices spanning most of the car's life, from the 1990s to 2026. This year's invoices includes a new timing belt and coolant pump, an oil service and an underseal treatment.

Previous and current versions of the V5C are also present, indicating 8 former keepers. The car was first registered in September 1996, and its registration number is non-transferable.
