2007 AUDI R8 4.2 QUATTRO MANUAL

4163cc petrol V8, six-speed manual. This early Audi R8 began life on Audi's press fleet. In fact it was this very car that earned Autocar's “Best Handling Car of 2007” award. Chris Harris described it as “sensational” and it was praised in the magazine for being “one of the friendliest, easiest-to-drive supercars there has ever been”. The driver sits in front of a 4.2-litre V8 engine in a cabin furnished with heated grey leather, featuring buttons and switchgear for the adaptive suspension, deployable rear spoiler, factory navigation system, parking sensors and automatic headlamps. 

Today it looks no worse for its 53,234 miles and comes fresh from some heavy expenditure by the vendor. Recent maintenance has included a new MagneRide shock absorber (plus calibration), an engine service including spark plugs and coil packs, new engine oil cooler, new fuel pumps x2, a valve for the air conditioning system, brake discs and pads, new tyres, wheel refurbishment and professional paint correction. The car is supplied with a few maintenance receipts (including the latest for £5320 from an Audi specialist in August 2026), MoT certificates covering 2012 to the present, and the V5C which records 6 former keepers before the vendor who took ownership in 2014. We also have the handbook pack, original navigation CDs, spare key, and a copy of Autocar which contains a large feature on this car.

The car now has an MoT to 7th October 2027 and we're told it's driving very well. The oil level warning light is illuminated on the dash (see photos) but we've checked the level on the dipstick and it appears to be correct.
