3590cc petrol, manual. This rather special Jaguar XJS is a rare black example with manual transmission, cherished by club enthusiasts for at least 26 years. The vendor is a trustee of a local classic vehicle club who has kept it garaged throughout his 17-year tenure, and before him the car was owned for 9 years by the chairman of the local Jaguar enthusiasts club. It's been used for many club outings including trips abroad, bringing the odometer reading to 156,784 miles. MoT inspections have been performed annually, and today the car has an advisory-free certificate which is valid to 27th May 2027. 

The lovely beige leather interior is equipped with an original car phone (not connected) and Astrali aftermarket leather wheel, and the front of the car features a custom grille placed in front of the original. The black paintwork and gold pinstripes have been well looked after, and we're told the headlamps can be switched for driving on the continent using a switch in the engine bay. 

The car is supplied with its original handbook, previous and current versions of the V5C, spare keys, an excellent collection of MoT certificates and invoices going back to the 2000s, and photos of the car receiving a respray in 2006. The vendor has also provided spare drive belts, Jaguar tool kit, a set of Champion spark plugs and a factory service manual. Invoices show that over £1200 was spent in 2022 on jobs which included engine and gearbox servicing, new diff bearings and seals, rear brake pads, gear lever bushes, a new trip computer and various other tasks. In 2024, the car also received new rear springs and shock absorbers. 

The registration number is non-transferable.
