1990 RENAULT 5 TR

1237cc, 5-speed manual. This beautiful Renault 5 TR is believed to be in unrestored and highly original condition. We sold it its present keeper in April this year, after it had been kept it in dry storage since the previous owner acquired the car in 2018 from another collector, who also kept it indoors. Clearly it has had a charmed and sheltered life, and we're told it received much attention at this year's Festival of the Unexceptional, completing the 200-mile round trip “faultlessly”. It's finished in lovely Burgundy Red paintwork (marred only by a small ding near the petrol filler) with undamaged grey upholstery and the original Philips cassette player, and it sits on a matching set of tyres. The last MoT was passed with no advisories and remains valid to 18th May 2027, and the odometer is showing 56,300 miles.

The car comes with spare keys and a large history file containing many maintenance receipts, old MoTs, sales brochures, and the original bill of sale from a Renault dealer in Lincolnshire. The V5C indicates 5 former keepers, and gives the date of first registration as 27th March 1990.
