1117cc, manual. The Mk1 Ford Fiesta Fly was a rare convertible variant, built initially by Crayford and then by F English in Bournemouth. This superb example is one of those later variants, looking extremely fresh after a recent restoration by a former head of coachwork at Ford. Sadly he has now passed away, so the family is seeking another enthusiast to look after it.
The Fiesta is equipped with genuine ‘pepper pot’ alloy wheels, XR2 decals, Hella spotlights, period cassette player, analogue clock and a smart grey cloth interior, with 65,285 miles showing on the odometer. The bodywork is superb all round, and the doors close with a reassuring click. An MoT was passed a few days ago with no advisories, and is valid to 22nd October 2027.
A collection of spares is included in the sale, and the history file contains original handbooks, with various parts receipts from the last few months. Unfortunately we don't have any other receipts, but we're told the car has recently received a fresh service.
First registration was in August 1982, and the V5C records only 3 former keepers.
