1979 ROLLS ROYCE SILVER SHADOW II

6750cc, automatic. This Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow II wears the magnificent shade of Highland Green, complemented inside by a green leather top roll and cream leather upholstery with green piping. The vendor bought it at one of our sales in 2019 and has since driven it over 6000 miles, during which he says it has proven to be very reliable, although some cosmetic attention is now becoming due.

The car comes with an extensive history file, including its original handbook pack with a fully stamped service book containing no fewer than 19 stamps in its first 31,325 miles up to 1994. There is also a large collection of receipts showing ongoing maintenance expenditure in the 2000s and 2020s, together with various old MoT certificates. Recent maintenance included renewal of the hydraulic accumulators in July 2026, and a new battery. The car was supplied new by Hadley Green Garage in Hertfordshire in November 1979, and the V5C records 10 former keepers. Its odometer shows 9400 miles which is believed to represent a total mileage of 73,266, owing to a replacement unit at 63,866 miles in 2017.

The latest MoT was passed with no advisories but expired in 2020. We're advised that the air conditioning is not blowing cold, some of the power seat functions are not working, and there is an intermittent rainwater leak into the boot.
