1979 AUSTIN MORRIS MINI 1000

This fabulous little Austin Morris Mini 1000 van was treated to full restoration by a professional Mini restorer, followed by a five-page feature in Miniworld magazine in 2011. He adopted it as his personal project, building the car during his spare time, in between working on client Minis during the day. The restoration involved a comprehensive but discrete range of upgrades, including a MG Metro 1275cc A+ engine with a ported head, front disc brakes, powdercoating the subframe and suspension (prior to painting) and a bare-metal respray in two-pack Rover Pendelican White.

The car comes with an advisory-free MoT to 15th October 2027, and the odometer records only 363 miles since the restoration was completed. In the office we have the magazine featuring the restoration, with this car appearing on the cover. We also have the V5C, although unfortunately there is no other paperwork.

The DVLA will also need updating about the change of engine, as the earlier size of 998cc remains on the database.
