Approximately 4355 Daimler DB18s were produced between 1939 and 1953. This 2522cc example was built and registered in 1947, but reregistered in September 2014. The odometer shows 45,981 miles and there's been just one keeper since its reregistration. As an historic vehicle, the Daimler no longer requires an MoT; there's no record of the car having had one since online records began in 2005. The car received a full restoration during 2012 to 2017 which included a full engine rebuild, rewiring with a full loom, new radiator, new stainless steel petrol tank, full suspension overhaul, full brake overhaul, and five new crossply tyres. Inside, the seats and woodwork were renovated. The entire vehicle was repainted too.  The vendor describes the car as in full working order, running well, reliable and in regular use (save for the winter months), having just completed a 90-mile round trip shortly before it came to ACA. The oil and filter were changed around 800 miles ago.

The car comes with a detailed history that includes the V5C, history back to the late 1980s, old tax discs from 1957 to 1960, original handbook, spares catalogue and technical documentation.
