1972 TRIUMPH 1500

The vendor bought this Triumph 1500 without an engine in 2012 and subsequently fitted it with a 1493cc Spitfire engine. The body was resprayed and other work done during 2013 and 2014. A lot of mechanical and restoration work was done during 2021 including on the gearbox and cylinder head. The car was registered in February 1972 and is showing five registered keepers overall on its V5C. The odometer shows 69,564 miles. Its last MoT expired in September 2022, after having been tested the previous year at 67,440 miles; however, as an historic vehicle, it is now MoT-exempt. There is damage to the nearside front wing.  

Paperwork accompanying the 1500 includes its V5C, last MoT certificate, some lists of work done and various invoices. In October 2011, the Triumph was a Category C insurance loss - vehicle extensively damaged but repairable; insurer decided not to repair. It had a VOSA identity check carried out in October 2014. The car also comes with some spare keys as well.
