After Austin-Rover ceased production of the Maestro in Britain, manufacture re-started again in Bulgaria in September 1995 with complete knock down (CKD) kits sent out from the UK. Around 2000 were constructed. In 1997, Trans Europa Training of Ledbury in Herefordshire bought a batch of 621 left-over car and van kits not sent to Bulgaria and started putting them together, with the work running through to 2001. These ‘reborn’ vehicles became commonly known as Ledbury Maestros. This is one such example. Registered in March 1999, the 1275cc A-series-engined van has covered 86,487 miles and has had five former registered keepers. There is no MoT; the last expired in October 2020, with the test having been undertaken the previous year at 86,438 miles. The history folder includes the current V5C plus some previous ones, a single invoice, a print-out of a history of the Ledbury Maestros, and MoTs from 2011 and 2019. There's also an Austin-Rover Maestro van owner's handbook as well.
