This TR3 is described by the vendor as a very special car.
Originally a California black plate car until 2004. It was then purchased by the previous owner and shipped back to the UK. Jennings Engineering were then tasked with a total nut & bolt restoration. This included a conversion to right-hand drive and many upgrades so it could potentially compete in sprints and hill-climbs. However, due to a change in circumstance, the car has never competed. There is an extremely detailed album of photographs that depicts the car at every stage of the restoration and is very impressive. There is also a similar file of invoices that run to over £40,000. This car was fully stripped back and rebuilt in minute detail. It is a total pleasure to drive and is described by the vendor as a little "yappy" dog that just wants to go and go! The engine rebuild included a Stage 2 unleaded head, twin SU carburettors, twin Facet fuel pumps, custom alloy radiator, oil breather catch tank, oil cooler and stainless exhaust system and manifold. It also has a tasteful stainless steel grille, upgraded suspension, AP Racing disc brake set up, Minilite style alloys, Safety Devices roll bar, fire extinguisher, period bucket seats, harnesses and an uprated heating system. It also includes an Alcantara Sparco steering wheel with integrated indicators. The car has been fully rewired, has a brand new Farley lightweight race battery, new analogue/digital gauges, excellent halogen headlights, two immobilisers, mohair hood and weather gear. Total mileage covered since restoration is around 6800 and this has mainly been done on long road trips to France. Just serviced and checked over, the car is ready to go to a new owner, It is described as a lovely car to drive and own, being one that you can use and not just admire.
