1957 MG ZB MAGNETTE

1489cc. This black MG ZB Magnette has a lovely history file which includes its original bill of sale, telling us that UXA 455 was first registered on 31st October 1957 by Eustace Watkins Ltd in London to a Harold Percy Carter. Mr Carter paid £1013, for a specification which included Black paintwork and Maroon upholstery. Also present are the original buff logbook and continuation book, which show that he held onto the car for nearly 20 years.

Today the odometer is showing 13,800 miles, and the Magnette has an advisory-free MoT to 15th May 2026. The vendor bought it from one of our sales in 2022 and put it through an MoT inspection each year. The history file contains a long list of expenses during his ownership, which totals nearly £2500. Works have included a carburettor rebuild and fitting new tyres, a new fuel pump and new wheel bearings. The file also contains a good collection of receipts from the 1980s onwards, various MoT certificates, an owner's manual and spare keys. 

The vendor has notified us about some minor electrical faults. The panel light, interior light and clock are not currently working, and the radio is not connected.
