1935 ROLLS ROYCE 20/25
This 1935 Rolls Royce 20/25 is being sold as part of a deceased estate and has been in the same ownership since purchased in 1985 from a dealer, T Mason of Ashford Kent for £15,000. Believed to still be fitted with a Windovers Drop Head Coupe body.
Copies of Rolls Royce records show that chassis number GKC 36 was manufactured in 1934 and delivered to Windovers later the same year. The first owner is recorded as DS Cowans-Fairweather esq of West Mains, Aucterhouse, Angus, before passing to Sir Edmund Brocklebank of Thurleigh Combe, Bradford-on-Avon, a Conservative MP. The 1959 Buff log book shows it was owned by Arthur Frank Collins of Wembley from 1949 until 1972 when sold to a Thomas Mason of Kent. It remained registered to Mr Mason until registered to the current keeper in 1985.
It appears that since purchased in 1985, extensive restoration works were commenced and receipts are on file for tens of thousands of pounds. The restoration work completed so far appears to be of a high standard making this a very worthwhile project for the new owner to complete. Close inspection advised.
Comes with extensive invoices, older style V5, buff log book and photos of some the restoration work
