1961 AUSTIN A40 FARINA

This Austin A40 Farina has been treated to a ground-up restoration, which we believe took place around 2019-20. Finished in blue and white with a smart blue interior, the car is accompanied by a good quantity of receipts from 2019 onwards, and its odometer shows 65,173 miles.

The restoration included discrete upgrades to improve usability, including servo-assisted brakes and front discs. The back axle is from a Riley 1.5, and the original 948cc engine was also replaced with a rebuilt 1172cc unit. This has been equipped with a larger carburettor, duplex timing chain and electric cooling fan.

The Austin was first registered on 1st May 1961 and the V5C records 9 former keepers.

The registration number is non-transferrable.
