1981 AUSTIN MAXI 2

This late-spec Austin Maxi 1750 L is finished in Vermillion red with a grey cloth interior. It is sold as a restoration project or spares donor. The vendor tells us that it has been “family owned from new by a father and son, whom we believe were both British Leyland employees. It runs and drives, but sadly, when loading it up for delivery, the suspension has gone on the passenger side.” The odometer shows 53,198 miles, and the car was being MoT tested annually until latest certificate expired in 2023.

The car comes with a large amount of paperwork, comprising insurance policies, old MoTs, tax discs, original handbook pack, some service history, and the V5C which indicates only 1 change of keeper in 2002. It was first registered on 6th April 1981.
