1969 TVR VIXEN

This green TVR Vixen S2 was taken off the road for a respray in the 1980s and has never quite made it back into use. The vendor purchased it in 2021 with the intention of getting it back on the road, and has invested considerably, but it is now being sold as a stalled project, requiring finishing.

The car benefits from a rebuilt 1.6-litre Lotus Super 7 X-flow engine, and the vendor's work has included overhauling the suspension, painting the chassis (no rust issues were found), and replacing and rebuilding ancillaries. We're told it will require mainly electrical and dashboard work to finish, and wheel alignment.

The history file contains the original owner's manual, an impressive stack of invoices going back to the 1980s – with considerable expenditure both during the vendor's tenure and around 1990/91 – and a handwritten record of all previous owners. The car was first registered on 3rd December 1969, and its V5C records 5 former keepers. The odometer is showing 2 miles. 

The original fibreglass seat structures and headlining frame are included in the sale. The original short engine is available by separate negotiation.
