1973 TRIUMPH 2000

The vendor bought this Triumph 2000 saloon as a project in 2024, but has never got around to restoring it. The last MoT expired in 2019, and the odometer shows 61,548 miles. 

The manual transmission is equipped with an optional overdrive. We're advised that the engine did run but was sounding rough, and that an engine rebuild may be required. The car's badging and V5C suggest it has a 2500cc engine, although the V5C describes it as a Triumph 2000. The engine number prefix ("ME") suggests that the block at least originated from a 2000cc unit. 

The car has been resprayed at some stage, changing its original from white to red. The next owner will need to register this change with the DVLA. There is no history with the car other than previous and current V5Cs. It was first registered on 10th September 1973.
