1986 LAND ROVER DEFENDER 110 FFR HARD TOP
A genuine ex-MOD Land Rover 110 FFR (Fitted For Radio) Hard Top, supplied new to the British Army. Built by Land Rover in 1986 and carrying Army registration 14 KF 85, this vehicle remains remarkably original and is accompanied by Ministry of Defence history obtained under the Freedom of Information Act. The military data plate is present and confirms it as a Truck Utility Medium FFR Hard Top 12/24-volt model. 2.5 litre N/A Diesel engine and five speed gearbox.
The vehicle was in military service until 2013 and the accompanying records include inspection, servicing, modification and fault histories. The only modification that we can see recorded in the available MOD records is a wheel rim change. Recorded as serving with 575 Field Squadron, Royal Engineers before later service with 73 Engineer Regiment. The Land Rover remained in military ownership until disposal through Witham Specialist Vehicles in January 2013.
Presented in honest, unrestored condition, it retains its military character with original FFR bodywork, military bumper, convoy lighting fittings, NATO towing equipment and military wheels. The odometer displays approximately 143,202 kilometres. The Land Rover starts, runs and drives and stops, although some recommissioning will be required as it has not been used for some years.
A rare opportunity to acquire a documented and largely unmolested ex-MOD FFR Land Rover, offered with known military provenance. Apart from the military history records, the Land Rover has no paperwork and will require registration with the DVLA
