1999 HOLDEN HSV VT2 CLUBSPORT R8

5.7-litre V8, auto. Holden Specialist Vehicles was a collaboration between Holden and Tom Walkinshaw Racing. The VT was based on the Holden Commodore, and this Series II model is powered by a 335bhp Chevrolet LS1 V8 engine with GM 4L60-E 4-speed transmission. It comes with a recent MoT which is valid to 29th July 2027.

Highly sought after in Australia, this example is distinguished by its uncracked dash and impressive overall condition. Its black leather interior features sports seats, original stereo, tyre gauge and tool set, cruise control and air conditioning. The exhaust has an X-Force rear box, but the original HSV boxes are included with the car, as is the standard air filter which has been replaced with a cone filter. The vendor, who has maintained the car himself, tells us it has just received a new Yuasa battery and HSV rear brake pads, and the alternator and starter voltages have been checked. He also advises that the boot struts need replacing (Vauxhall Omega items apparently fit and are available), and the air con probably needs re-gassing.

The car was brought to the UK from Australia in 2008 and has been MoT tested every year since, mostly without advisories. Its history file contains a large collection of maintenance receipts dating from the car's time in the UK, with papers including its VOSA registration number certificate. The V5C shows only 1 former UK keeper, the vendor having acquired the car in 2013.

The odometer shows 113,679, which is a combination of kilometres and miles as the odometer was converted to imperial in 2007 (invoice included). We're told the car has in fact covered 74,017 miles, of which 8926 were in the UK.
