1984 FRIEGHT ROVER SHERPA PICK-UP
LOT 383
1.7-litre petrol, manual. The Freight Rover Sherpa was the precursor to the more widespread LDV Pilot and Convoy vans. This petrol example began life as a BT van, and has been registered to its current keeper since 2016. We're told it runs and drives well, although the latest MoT expired in 2018 and the battery is flat, so it is currently a non-runner. The odometer shows 58,169 miles.
The van was recorded as a Category C insurance loss ("extensively damaged by repairable") in 2012 but it has passed multiple MoT tests since then. It is supplied with a collection of MoT certificates, an original sales brochure, and the V5C which describes it as “salvaged”.
