1991cc, 4spd manual. This Triumph TR2 is a rare "long-door" example that was given a major restoration a few years ago, and recently received an advisory-free MoT which is valid to 12th July 2027. It was first registered in the UK on 14th December 1953, the first year of production, and is believed to have been the first TR2 in Lincolnshire.
The history folder includes a summary of the expenditure on the restoration which amounted to nearly £17k. Work included various changes to enhance drivability, including an overdrive gearbox, CT engine block with TR3 head, Girling rear axle, servo brakes, “Super Core” radiator, electric fan, alternator etc. The body shell was chemically stripped then rebuilt in 2010 by North Devon Metalcraft, professionally resprayed in Signal Red by Premier Paints. Today the odometer is showing 511 miles.
Paperwork also includes a large quantity of receipts, mostly relating to the restoration, and various photos documenting the same. The V5C is showing 3 former keepers, the latest keeper having owned the car since 2003.
