1964 MORRIS MINI ESTATE - ONE OWNER FROM NEW
848cc, manual. This vendor of this remarkable Mk1 Morris Mini Traveller estate bought it new in June 1964 and has owned it ever since, keeping it at the same Norfolk address for its entire life. It's being sold as a project, having been off the road (stored under a cover) since the 1990s. The odometer shows 99,069 miles.
We're told it has been used as a family car and enjoyed as a hobby. In the 1970s it received a new cylinder head and carburettor, but the engine is otherwise original. New wings and rear doors were fitted in the 1980s, but the body will require some repairs.
This Mini is fitted with a set of 5½in J wheels (x5) and comes with 4 original-type wheels, plus a box of body-related spares, its original steering wheel and cylinder head. The VIN plate is included, but has been removed from the car.
The history file contains the car's original handbook, passport to service (showing a few early services), an old insurance certificate and a 1979 parts receipt. There is no V5C so the next owner will need to apply to the DVLA for a new one.
