1972 MG MIDGET
1275cc, manual. This Mallard Green MG Midget MkIII has been registered to the vendor since 1979. He tells us it has been in regular use until recently and has always been reliable and entertaining. It’s equipped with a brown interior and Minilite-style alloys, and we’re told it received new sills in 1990 followed by a respray in its original colour in 1998. Today the car drives and stops, and benefits from a new hood, new tyres and a new battery. However, some recommissioning is required (including attention to the driver's window mechanism), and the wiring loom has been partially disconnected.
The history file contains a collection of MoT certificates going back to 1994, a dating letter from the BMIHT confirming its build date of April 1972, and a receipt for an engine rebuild incorporating a Tornado performance camshaft in 1987. Spare keys are also present, together with a box of spares including gaiters, lenses, driver's seatbelt and a spare alternator.
The odometer is indicating 96,591 miles, and there are only 2 former keepers on the V5C.
