1991 MAZDA MX-5

This Mazda Eunos (the Japanese home market title for the MX-5) in Electric Blue has mainly been in storage by the last (garage) owner since 2009 and has covered very little mileage in his ownership. In approximately 2016/2017 it underwent some major work including tidying the bodywork, sills, arches etc. The head gasket and timing belt were also replaced. This was done for his wife but, after a two-mile test drive, she decided the car wasn't for her. So it then went back into dry storage. In 2024, the car was MoT'd and sold to the current vendor following the owner's retirement. Recent works include a new fuel pump and clutch slave cylinder. 

The Mazda is showing 132,899km (82,580 miles) on its odometer and was registered in the UK in August 1998 after being imported from Japan following construction in 1991. Its MoT is valid until September 2024. It features power steering, air-conditioning (which needs re-gassing), electric windows, Imola steering wheel and Alpine radio with multi-changer and remote control. The vendor tells us that it runs and drives, but could do with a service after storage. The hood is described as average. Paperwork includes the V5C, original Japanese book pack, UK invoices, MoT certificates and radio instructions.
