Out of 50 Daimler Conquest Roadsters built, around 25 are thought to survive. According to the literature in the history file, this particular Daimler was acquired in a poor state by the Patrick Motor Museum in Birmingham in 1977. It was restored and then retained as an exhibit until 1985, after which it was sold to a private collector who had the engine rebuilt in 1997. The vendor bought it in October 2001 and has used it for car shows, having the 2433cc straight-six engine overhauled again in early 2020. This very distinctive roadster was registered in January 1955 and now shows 14,168 miles on its odometer. Four previous registered keepers are shown on the V5C. The paperwork folder includes the current and some past V5Cs plus a green continuation logbook, owner's handbook, a large stack of mainly 21st century invoices (but with some back to 1980s), MoT certificates back to the 1970s, brochures and photographs - including TV personality Mike Smith in the car.
