This Daimler 2.5 litre V8 automatic in its original Light Grey. The paintwork was restored in 2000 and is in generally good condition although there are signs of rust blistering in a few places. The seats have been re-trimmed in burgundy leather and are in excellent condition. The remainder of the interior is also complete and in good condition. The vehicle benefits from a hydraulic power steering conversion from Vicarage, a company well known for their work upgrading this era of Jaguars and Daimlers. Recently benefitting from a thorough service by the vendor, the car has covered several hundred miles of day to day use in recent months and has proved to be completely reliable, starting easily, running smoothly and riding comfortably. Although now exempt, the vehicle passed an MoT on the 16th August 2022 which carried an advisory of some oil leaks that were not excessive. It comes complete with a thick folder of documents dating back to its original purchase in 1964, including the original Operating, Maintenance and Service handbook, the original Daimler Periodic Maintenance Voucher book, stamped from 1964 to 1972, and a large maintenance chart. There are many service documents, invoices, letters and MoTs from the various owners dating back to the original purchase. There are also invoices for restoration work carried out to the body and paintwork in 2000 and an engine rebuild in 2009.
