This modified Ford Escort MkI features bubble arches with extended inner arches, Pinto 2.0-litre engine, a Capri Atlas axle, single leaf springs, Panhard rod with anti-tramp bars, Type 9 five-speed transmission, period RS2000 sump and alloy bellhousing, electronic ignition, bucket seats, six-dial dashboard, black roof-lining, Superlite alloy wheels, roller bearing top mounts, vented discs and extended hubs. The car is running and driving although the vendor states that the engine shows signs of being tired. The Escort was registered in October 1972 as a 1300L (its engine capacity will need to be updated with the DVLA) and is showing 73,059 miles on its odometer. Its last MoT expired in August 2018 after having been tested at an indicated 72,857 miles, but as an historic vehicle, the Ford is now MoT-exempt. The paint was changed to the present metallic turquoise, a Toyota shade, in October 2009. Paperwork with the Escort includes the V5C, MoT certificates, and a few invoices.
