This 1964 Greeves Sportsman has an interesting story. Purchased new by our vendor as a young man in 1964 as a present from his father, he retained it for a year before selling it on. Amazingly, about eight years ago he found the bike at Villiers services in Birmingham and purchased it as a basket case. Subsequently it has been subjected to a very expensive rebuild including the handmade aluminium tank by HoltWorks costing nearly £1,000. It is fitted with Silverstone wheels (2LS front) The engine is at present 325cc displacement but it does come with 250cc pistons and cylinders also. Fitted with electronic ignition and a Yamaha clutch conversion, along with a new Amal carburettor. Our vendor estimates that he has spent approximately £8,000 on the restoration and although no invoices have been retained, inspection of the bike does support this ‘no expenses spared’ restoration. Comes with V5. 118 recorded miles
