1959 LAND ROVER SERIES II SWB
The vendor purchased this blue/green 2.25-litre petrol Series 2 Land Rover as a refurbishment project and put it into storage, but is now selling due to lack of time. Last summer it received a new rear cross member and rust treatment, and a new carburettor has also been fitted. The vendor describes the chassis as "solid" and tells us the Land Rover "starts, runs and drives, but would benefit from a tidy up and some recommissioning before driving on the road".
The odometer shows 1030 miles. Between 2005 and its most recent MoT test in 2014, it passed 10 inspections without a single advisory. (As a historic vehicle it is now exempt from annual testing requirements.)
The Land Rover was first registered on 27th October 1959. Sadly it does not come with any maintenance receipts, but the V5C is present and records 9 former keepers.
The registration number is non-transferable.
