1974 AUSTIN ALLEGRO 1100
This distinctive Austin Allegro is an early 2-door Series I, with a matching red interior and the famous "quartic" steering wheel. After spending 25 years in storage, it was recently rescued by UK Barn Finds and has featured on their YouTube channel with its engine running from a secondary fuel tank. It was also showcased at the NEC Restoration Show in March this year.
The V5C records only 1 former keeper, with the last recorded change of keeper being in 1976. No work has been undertaken besides getting the engine running, so the Allegro will need recommissioning before being used on the road. The car was first registered on 3rd December 1974 and its odometer is displaying 96,390 miles.
The vendor describes this as “a great opportunity to restore a British icon”.
