1982 FORD CORTINA GL ESTATE MK5

This red Mk Ford Cortina GL estate, affectionately known as “Alky”, has been owned by the vendor since 2013. He has had around 23k miles of holiday use out of it over the last 13 years, and describes it as being "in good mechanical condition". The odometer is showing 117,800 miles. 

During his tenure, the car has passed 11 MoTs, all of them without advisories. (The latest expired in June 2025, although as a historic vehicle it is now exempt from testing requirements.) A few years ago it also took part in a major group photoshoot for Practical Classics magazine. It comes with a good collection of receipts from 2013-onwards, one indicating a full professional engine rebuild in 2014 at 96k miles. The vendor has supplied a full list of ongoing maintenance during his tenure, which has included new front brakes in 2021, a new cambelt in 2024, and an oil change and fresh battery in 2025. 

The car is also supplied with spare keys, MoT certificates dating back to 2007, and the current V5C. It was first registered on 4th August 1982.
