1978 FORD CAPRI II GL

1993cc petrol, manual. This Ford Capri II GL shows only 22,850 miles on its odometer, having covered just 2000 miles in the past 34 years. Finished in Jupiter Red, it was supplied new by E. Ward of Wellingborough and stayed with its first keeper until 2015. The vendor acquired it from the 2nd owner a few months ago, and he describes it as an “unrestored solid car that runs and drives well”. It survives in mostly well-preserved condition overall, with a tidy engine bay and a smart black / grey interior featuring the original radio, optional analogue clock and heated rear glass.

For the last 10 years or so the car has been off the road, but it comes with an MoT to 4th June 2027. It is supplied with a collection of receipts for parts and maintenance in 2014-16, together with a few MoT certificates from 1992-on, original handbooks, and previous & current versions of the V5C.

First registration was in February 1978, making this a very late example of the Mk2 Capri.
