This Volkswagen Beetle 1300 is accompanied by an impressive history file comprising MoT certificates going back to 1984 and a large collection of receipts for parts and maintenance dating back to the 1980s. A Heritage Certificate confirms that this car left the factory on 15th September 1971 in right-hand drive, destined for the UK, and finished in blue, with blue upholstery. The car has also received a ground-up restoration at some stage, which included a replacement engine, new interior and new floor pans, among other work. Today the vendor describes it as "running like new" having driven it 15 miles to our premises. The car was first registered on 18th October 1971, and the odometer shows 32,555 miles.

The car's last MoT was passed with no advisories in 2017 (as an historic vehicle, it no longer requires annual testing). The vendor advises that a new heater channel is needed, but the required part is included, along with a box of spares. Also present are a VW roof rack, two leather cases, a picnic set, tools and a spare key, together with a collection of photographs of the restoration. Paperwork also includes the V5C, which is in the vendor's name.
