1974 ALFA ROMEO 2000 SPIDER VELOCE S2

The vendor has owned this very bright Alfa Romeo 2000 Spider Veloce - known as The Omelette because of its colour - for nine years, and has a full history from its time with her. Prior to that, its previous keeper kept it for 25 years. The car was registered in May 1974 and is now showing 84,601 miles on its odometer.  It had a full engine rebuild costing £8000 by MG Mecca some four years ago at 79,000 miles, plus other receipts in the paperwork file totalling over £20,000. A previous owner undertook a major body restoration with new seats and a new hood fitted as well (the latter in 2014). The car also features Cosmic steel wheels. As an historic vehicle, the Alfa no longer requires an MoT; its last was in May 2019 after having been tested the previous year at 76,440 miles. 

The vendor has used the car regularly, including a trip to Italy in 2022 during which the car behaved faultlessly, she describes it as ‘running extremely well and very reliable’. Recent work has included oil services, the pinion seal changed, a new battery and leads. The vendor also notes that the seat runners would need adjusting for a tall person, as they were made to fit her, at 5ft 4in. 

Paperwork with the car includes the V5C, all invoices and bills from 2014 onwards, MoT certificates from the same era, and an owner's workshop manual.
